Training centre and summer residence

Since 2005, the Lipizzaners have had a spacious summer residence with paddocks and meadows, as well as magnificent terrain for riding around Heldenberg in the Lower Austrian wine-growing district. As a result of the rotation system operating between Heldenberg and Vienna, the famous stallions spend roughly six months of the year at this training centre and enjoy the change of scene in the countryside with plenty of fresh air and exercise in nature. Some of the stallions also spend their well-deserved retirement in these beautiful surroundings.
Since 2010, Heldenberg has been a training centre for young stallions alongside the Spanish Riding School in Vienna. The training centre offers courses and special training programmes for the international equestrian world and shares knowledge about the High School of Classical Horsemanship. In addition to theory courses, instruction for riders on their own horses and professional rider seminars, the programme includes dressage judging seminars, seminars held with international experts, and further training for grooms.
