The Spanish Riding School holds exclusive copyrights to all parts of its website; any use of the website beyond the retrieval of information, in particular duplication, dissemination (including linking to another website) requires our prior express written consent. By using our website, the user accepts that we are entitled to collect and use any user information disclosed (in particular cookies).
The respective version of the following General Terms and Conditions of Business applies to all deliveries or services by the Spanish Riding School – Federal Stud Piber:
SECTION 1: EVENTS AND ALL TYPES OF VISITS TO THE PREMISES OF THE SPANISH RIDING SCHOOL AND/OR THE FEDERAL STUD PIBER
Ordering:
1. All ticket orders placed on our website are processed by Ticket Express, Gesellschaft zur Herstellung und zum Vertrieb elektronischer Eintrittskarten mbH (Österreich Ticket) and its partner companies Österreich Ticket Südost (Wiener Neustadt), ÖTS (Deutschlandsberg), Ticket Nord (Linz) and ARGE Ö Ticket West – 5 Star Promotions – Alfred Schmid (Innsbruck). Orders can be placed online in the purchasing area in the following five steps: step 1 – select show and tickets in each ticket category; step 2 – select type of delivery or collection; step 3 – select method of payment and enter personal details; step 4 – summary of all data, final check, accept General Terms and Conditions, submit order; step 5 – order confirmation by Österreich Ticket.
2. All orders, including those made by post, fax, e-mail, telephone or in person in the visitors’ centre must include the name, address, telephone number if possible, number of tickets required, price category and the date of the show.
3. All orders, including those placed via our website, by telephone, fax, in writing to the Spanish Riding School or orally at the visitors’ centre of the Spanish Riding School directly, are binding and cannot be cancelled or changed.
4. The ticket order also becomes binding for the Spanish Riding School once it has accepted the ticket order by way of a reservation confirmation which must be sent within 10 days. The reservation confirmation must be presented when collecting the ordered tickets.
5. If, in the case of ticket orders by post, fax or e-mail, the price category requested by the customer is not available, the Spanish Riding School reserves the right to reserve tickets for the customer in the next price category up with binding effect.
6. Tickets for wheelchair spaces are limited and must be ordered in writing.
Ticket prices:
The prices contained in the current pricelist, which is available on our website, apply to our events. The prices stated therein include statutory sales tax. An additional service charge of € 1.50 per transaction must be paid for online orders.
Payment:
Tickets purchased online via Österreich Ticket for dispatch or collection must be paid for using one of the credit cards shown on the homepage during the ordering process.
Orders by post, fax or e-mail can only be purchased using the credit cards displayed on the homepage and at the sales desk or in cash or by debit card at the sales desk if collected in due time.
Purchases can be made at the sales desks of the Spanish Riding School using the credit cards displayed there, debit card or cash.
Payment must be made at the time of collection at the latest; in any case, tickets are not valid until full payment has been made. The Spanish Riding School reserves the right to continue to demand the purchase price in the event of non-payment notwithstanding the option to resell the ticket. In the case of default in payment, business default interest as defined in § 1333 para. 2 ABGB [Austrian Civil Code] shall be agreed from the day of the event irrespective of the right to assert further damages.
Delivery, dispatch, collection:
The Spanish Riding School and Österreich Ticket accept no liability for any tickets lost in the post or for any other mistakes in the course of delivery by third parties such as the postal service or messenger services. Lost tickets cannot be replaced. The misuse of entrance tickets through copying or modification is prohibited and shall result in the institution of legal action. By ordering or acquiring the right to enter, the user accepts the house rules of the venue in addition to the General Terms and Conditions of Business.
Tickets which have been held over and not yet paid for must be collected from the visitors’ centre, Michaelerplatz 1, 1010 Vienna at least one hour before the event during the respective opening hours. Failure to do so shall entitle the Spanish Riding School to resell the tickets. For tickets ordered online or tickets paid for the day before the event at the latest (receipt of amount by the Spanish Riding School), the deadline for collection shall be no later than 30 minutes before the start of the event.
Cancellation, changes, refunds:
Österreich Ticket acts only as an agent and accepts no liability for refunding entrance fees.
The following applies as regards the Spanish Riding School: confirmed entrance tickets cannot be returned or exchanged. Unused, partially used (e.g. because of lateness or illness) or lost tickets cannot be replaced.
If an event or show is cancelled or called off in any other way, the Spanish Riding School – Federal Stud Piber shall be obliged to take back the tickets not later than seven working days after the cancelled event against reimbursement of any ticket price already paid. Further damages, for example for travel expenses, accommodation, advance booking fees, agency fees, shipping charges etc., are in any case excluded. Returned entrance tickets shall not be accepted after seven working days.
The right to minor or technically justifiable changes to the line-up or programme is, however, reserved.
House rules:
Visitors or third parties are not permitted to offer and sell tickets for Spanish Riding School events on the premises of the Spanish Riding School.
Visitors must comply with the house rules upon ordering or acquiring an entrance ticket. In the event of a breach of the house rules, visitors can be expelled from the event and the premises without reimbursement of the ticket price.
SECTION 2: GENERAL PROVISIONS

Any liability by the Spanish Riding School and/or sales partners for all business processes carried out by the Spanish Riding School – especially as a result of poor fulfilment – is excluded unless this occurred deliberately or as a result of gross negligence. Under no circumstances the Spanish Riding School shall be liable for any performance hindrances caused by reasons which are beyond the Spanish Riding School’s control, such as strike, lockout, war, fire and all other cases of force majeure.
Data protection:
The customer acknowledges that the data disclosed by him electronically – including personal data – is stored and electronically processed by Österreich Ticket and the Spanish Riding School – Federal Stud Piber in order to perform the agreement. He also consents that this data can be passed on to companies belonging to the Österreich Ticket Group (parent companies or subsidiaries), to federal offices and to cultural event organisers owned by public authorities, such as federal museums or federal theatres, within the scope of the legal provisions and restrictions of the Data Protection Act 2000. The customer can revoke this consent at any time.
Place of jurisdiction, law
Place of jurisdiction is the court in Vienna with jurisdiction as regards the subject matter, for private customers their locally competent court with jurisdiction as regards the subject matter. Austrian law shall apply to the exclusion of the conflict rules.
Severability clause
In the event that any individual provisions contained in these Terms and Conditions shall be deemed invalid or unenforceable or incomplete, this shall have no bearing upon the validity of the remaining provisions. Any invalid or unenforceable provisions shall be superseded by such legally valid or enforceable provision which most closely approximate to the objective which was pursued by such a legally invalid or unenforceable provision.
